• Submission Terms & Conditions

Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the online abstract submission form available at the top of this webpage and should be submitted by December 15, 2023, the very latest.

Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent to your stated email address. If you do not receive the confirmation email within 48 hours, please contact us at corresponding@ap-unsat2024.com.

Abstracts will be reviewed based on originality, technical quality, style and clarity of presentation and importance to the field. Accepted contributions will then be selected for oral presentations. Abstracts must be written in English. Up to two abstracts can be submitted per registered person.

It is the author's responsibility to submit a complete abstract in finalized format. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific facts will be reproduced as typed by the author.

Authors’ names must be listed with mixed-case letters (first name and family name in full). Affiliations (institute/hospital/university, city, country) should be properly stated in your abstract in lowercase. No references to the exact addresses (street number, ZIP) are needed and will be deleted for reasons of uniformity.

The text must be a maximum of 200 words, excluding title and authors list and affiliations. It is the author's responsibility to submit a complete abstract in finalized format. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific facts will be reproduced as typed by the author.

If an author wishes to withdraw a submitted abstract, a written request should be sent to the Conference Secretariat.

All authors agree to abide by AP-UNSAT policies pertaining to submission, publication, and presentation of abstracts.

The accurate submission of abstracts is also a prerequisite for their acceptance. Any submitted abstract that does not meet the above requirements will not be accepted.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the corresponding author of each abstract by December 30, 2023. The corresponding author receives all information concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all other co-authors of the status of the abstract.

All paper presenters will be asked to reconfirm their attendance after receiving the notification. If you do not reconfirm your paper presentation, register and pay the registration fee before the given deadline, your abstract will be removed from the program.

Submitted papers will be included in the conference proceedings and distributed to all registered attendees post-conference. Given that conference proceedings are only for internal exchange among conference participants, we strongly encourage authors to consider submitting their work to our special issues in esteemed journals. We are delighted to extend an invitation for contributions to two prestigious special issues in the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (JRMGE, IF = 7.3), and Computers and Geotechnics (CG, IF = 5.3). These special issues present an exceptional opportunity to feature up to 30 fullpapers in each journal, showcasing the innovative and seminal research undertaken by participants of AP-UNSAT 2024. A valid conference registration ID will be mandatory at the time of your manuscript submission. We are pleased to announce that submissions to JRMGE are currently being accepted. You can submit your work by visiting http://www.jrmge.cn/newscontent-4-149.html. As for submissions to CG, please mark your calendars as the submission portal will be officially open in early April 2024.
