Dr. Changfu Wei is a professor at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the vice director of the State Key Laboratory of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. He received his PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 2001. His area of expertise includes the chemo-mechanics of geomaterials, unsaturated soil mechanics, mechanics of hydrate-bearing soils, and geohazard mitigation. He is the author or coauthor of more than 200 journal papers and more than 30 authorized patents. He is the scholar of the “100-talents program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been serving as a member of the Technical Committee of Unsaturated Soils (TC 106) of ISSMGE since 2010, and an Editorial Board Member of several professional journals.
